Belden HomeChoice® Speaker Cables Offer Homeowners Enhanced Sound Performance
RICHMOND, IN – Belden®, a world leader in the development of specialty cable products for the commercial, industrial, broadcast and residential markets, introduces its new HomeChoice® Speaker cables for indoor/outdoor/burial residential applications.  The new cables answer the residential market's need for a high-end, indoor/outdoor rated speaker cable offering enhanced sound performance, as well as installation benefits. 

To deliver clear, precise sound quality, Belden HomeChoice Speaker cables are manufactured using oxygen-free, high conductivity copper conductors and a polyolefin dielectric, which is distinctly better than traditional PVC insulation because of its low capacitance. As a result, Belden HomeChoice Speaker cables are able to transmit a consistently pure sound with superior high frequency response, even at extended distances.  For homeowners, this ensures delivery of quality audio, both indoors and at outdoor locations, such as patios, decks, gardens and poolside.

Installers of the cable will benefit from the cables' brightly colored satin PVC jackets and easy-to-read identification of room and zone, as well as ascending and descending sequential footage markings.   In addition, the speaker cables are extremely flexible and easy to pull, making installation fast and efficient. 

HomeChoice Speaker cables are available with 16, 14 or 12 AWG bare copper conductors, highly stranded for optimal flexibility.  The line includes five cables, all of which are CMR, CL3R, CMG, FT4 rated for in-wall or outdoor use. These include:

  • HC 2757 - 16 AWG (65 strands), 2-conductor cable with a Purple or White PVC jacket
  • HC 2758 - 16 AWG (65 strands), 4-conductor cable with a Violet or White PVC jacket
  • HC 2759 - 14 AWG (105 strands), 2-conductor cable with a Yellow or White PVC jacket
  • HC 2760 - 14 AWG (105 strands), 4-conductor cable with an Orange or White PVC jacket
  • HC 2761 - 12 AWG (168 strands), 2-conductor cable with a Pink or White PVC jacket
