Belden's High-density Open Frame Enclosures Meet the Needs of Today's World Class Data CenterXHD

Belden’s high-density open frame enclosures provide optimized footprints to accommodate deep networking equipment, sturdy front/rear doors that also enhance air flow and an unprecedented array of cable management and installer-friendly features.

84” high, and available in two widths (24” and 30”) and two depths (43” or 48”), these high-density Open Frame Enclosures enable the use of networking equipment of up to 28.6” or 33.6” in depth making them the perfect host for dense cross-connect fields, large servers, switches and routers, while simultaneously offering unprecedented cable management and cooling features.

Offering Exceptional Aesthetics

To enhance the overall look of the install, these enclosures are:

  • Fully compatible and identical in appearance
  • The cable management channels are hidden from view when the enclosures’ doors are closed
  • The doors and side panels lock for security purposes and the door handles are flush mounted

Providing Superior Air Flow/Cooling

CorrugatedDoor To better manage the air flow/cooling within the unit, Belden offers the following:

  • Separator panels to help segregate equipment within the enclosure (based upon the “hot” and“cold” aisle concept)
  • Corrugated front and rear doors to increase the surface of the door and its rigidity. The resulting perforation pattern provides an air flow opening of 80% (TIA-942 recommends a minimum of 50%)
  • A door frame design that ensures air flow through the enclosure – and the rear door can be equipped with high capacity (CFM) fans when forced air is required.

Meeting Optimum High-density Requirements

This family of enclosures meets the high density and cable management needs of the installation by providing:

  • 6” wide extensions (either 43” or 48” deep) that can be added either between the units or at the side/end of the unit for additional cable management flexibility
  • Built-in front and rear cabling management channels with optional 1RU-spaced bend radius cable management fingers and slack management spools
  • Multiple cable access options – on the top and the bottom via knock-outs
  • Front-to-rear channel routing options with rounded edges
  • Optional ladder rack mounting bracket

Making Installation Easier

Belden’s high-density open frame enclosures offer a number of installer-friendly, quick-install features:

  • With no outside post to obstruct installer access, the installer has easy access to the equipment and cables inside
  • Reversible and spring-loaded front/back doors enable the quick change of the door swing
  • Flush surface lock fasteners permit the quick disconnect and lift off of the sides
  • Various power distribution mounting options
  • Grounding kit and high strength leveling feet and casters.
